"There are so many reasons why my husband rocks it's hard to just name one or two, but I'll try. He first became a dad by taking in my oldest son as his own when he was 7 years old. My son's father left us when he was just a baby and my son never knew what it was like to have a dad. My husband took him in, loved him genuinely like he was his own. That is hard to find in a "step father", If you can imagine how I felt the day my son, so excitedly said "I have a Dad Now!". He takes him camping, hunting, fishing, boating almost every weekend - even in the winter, bought and taught him how to ride a dirt bike motorcycle, snowmobile, how to ski, mow the lawn, and just how to be a friend to people and how to be a man. We just recently decided to have a baby and he now has two sons.
I was worried that my first would feel left out, and see a different bond between my husband and his biological son. But their is no difference. My husband goes out of his way to make sure my first son KNOWS he is his son too. They still do one on one camping trips. They hang out in the garage having "guy talk". And at the age of 15, my son would rather hang out with his dad than his frinds. That's just getting started on what an amazing "ROCKIN" husband I have. Our baby is 10 months old now, and my husbands father just passed away, and my husband talks about "Grandpa" all the time and mindfully plans things with our kids so that they can have the same wonderful memories he had with his dad. He also does all the cooking, cleans, keeps his hands out of my laundry ((grrr, don't touch!)) takes the kids for walks (one in the wagon, the other on his bike, just to let me get some sleep.
He works 10 hour days to provide for his family, and still makes his kids #1 and feel important when he gets home. He even gets up wiht me in the night to make sure me and/or the baby doesnt need anything. I'll stop there. But he really does Rock!"
Rockin Green will be sending Birdee a bag of Mötley Cleän! Stay tuned for more rockin giveaways on Everything Mom and Baby!

congratulations!
What a well deserving daddy. It is very difficult for step daddy's and children. My hubby had a step daddy...not as rockin as yours though. One of his younger brothers is actually step dad to a boy and girl and has 2 daughters of his own. I am so amazed at the love he shows them. It's disappointing when the mother in law and father in law don't treat those children the same.
