Summers coming, pools to cool off in..what diaper is baby gonna wear? Bummis Swimmi

For cloth diapering folks this will be a no brainer but to parents who use disposables would you ever consider a reusable swim diaper?
Maybe you use disposable and are thinking of trying cloth, well try a Swimmi first and see how it goes just to get familiar with the notion of cloth diapering (i.e. cleaning/wiping/throwing the poop off)

Last summer, I was new mom and now I feel a little more seasoned when it comes to diapering baby and now know what to use that suits us.
A friend of ours invited us over for a little pool party and I didn't have diapers for water.
With all the hoop la over Pampers Dry Max, I'm not a Huggies fan either I opted for a Bummis since I cloth diaper most of the time.  I am open to some disposable companies don't get me wrong, I like Delora.

I paid $11.99 for my Bummis (brand new) at Once Upon A Child, size Large Swimmi and I will use them over and over again.  For me, the thought of my boy sitting and running in a wet, soggy, heavy diaper and the ingredients that are in them make me want to shudder, even though diaper companies don't have to disclose them( I have an idea on some of them);  this seemed like the perfect alternative.  Give this a read, while you're here. It seemed too easy with Swimmi by Bummis and it is, why use disposable when you can use this, it's truly not that hard.  I contacted Bummis via twitter and asked if I needed to put a cloth diaper on first then the swim cover and I got a "No diaper needed in a swimmi, as you are only catching the "substantial" bits." Substantial bits....oh yes the poop! Just wash in warm water and hang to dry.  I use Rockin Green for diapers/clothing.
Buy at least 2-3 pairs.  When I hit up my local Once Upon a Child that is what I shall do!
This is cheaper in the long run, super easy to do and give it a try this summer. Why not?

I am a total disposable diaper freak, but want the reuseable swim diapers because we have a little wasing pool in the back now and those disposible swim diapers are so crazy expensive. 1/2 the time baby just pees in them or they only get wet from the water and you wasted the money.

Exactly!
Seriously this is a great alternative to disposable swim diapers.

I'm a guilty pampers queen. With my oldest 11 years ago, we just put him in the kiddie pool in the buff....oops when he did #2! My middle hated the water and had no interest in the pool and I was curious what to use for the baby. This will be his first summer so I may have to look into Bummies. They are really cute :O)
