I bought some hair gel specifically for toddlers and children to give Charlies hair some pizazz.
Can I tell you moms/dads, with fine hair don't bother with the gels.
Let alone the ingredients aren't the best like the one I bought which was "safe" for kids at a place where Charlie got his first haircut. If you're that curious check the archives on the blog.
It has alcohol(wouldn't that dry out the hair?), sugar (don't know why) and methylisothiazoline aka MIT( a preservative but in lab rats has caused neurological damage especially in shampoos as well as cancer and liver damage) Shampoo washes away but hair gel? Well it stays on the kids head until you wash it....check your bottle.
Now, you don't have to clear everything out, I'm just bringing awareness and it's up to you to do what you want with it. Some of my favorite products even have phenoxyethanol.
But back to kids hair.
My boy has fine beautiful golden locks and I have just been introduced to Druide. I'd have to say my must have skin products are anything from Druide and Weleda.
The ingredients in Druide are safe and listed on their website, it's a great line. No it's a SUPERB line!
So on Saturday I went to my local Health Food Store and picked up my latest issue of Mothering Magazine and wondered over to the skin care section and there I saw Druide Karite Shea Butter. It was on sale and I figured I got a whole bunch of goodies to review let me buy this as I am already in love with this line.
Love, love, love this Canadian line of Organic Shea Butter.
You can use it on your body, face and hair to moisturize but I ended up using to give my dear son some definition for his new hair cut as he has some layers and it is so nice, it does more good than bad and I'll all into natural goodness for my son. It didn't make his hair greasy.
So scrap the gel and mousse and try Shea Butter. Not all products of Shea butter are made equally so I truly do suggest Druide Karite Shea Butter
Shea Butter is great for the prevention of stretch marks, heals cuts and burns, helps alleviate the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis, helps to diminish scars there is so many benefits to Shea Butter. Check out the link on Druide Kartite Shea Butter, oh and you may want to pull out the credit card because you'll be tempted to buy everything on the site, god knows I am!
