I don't know about your home but when the cold weather hits and the heat is turned on it is D-R-Y in our home and we need a humidifier.Charlie especially does too because he's just a little dude and some mornings before we got the Crane humidifier he'd be stuffed up and dry.
Thankfully Crane products came to the rescue!
We were sent this cute Frog and it's GREAT! You can purchase these at Babies R Us and I've seen them a Shoppers Drug Mart. For more locations see here.
It should be on a elevated flat surface as you will see in the instructions, we just have ours on a stool we picked up at the Dollar Store.
Mind you when you have it on full blast (it's actually recommended by Crane that you have it at 70%, never do full blast) you will see some moisture on the floor.
Just have it enough to see the light mist come out of the frogs ears just put a towel on the floor around the humidifier to be safe, I have it on halfway and we have no leaking. I love seeing the mist come out of the ears. Super cute.
Why we love it
- It's silent
- It's easy to fill up
- It's easy to clean. No filter either!
- Provides Relief from Cough, Cold and Flu Symptoms
- Provides Moisture for Nasal Congestion, Dry Cough, Sinus Irritation, Dry Skin
- Easier Breathing for a Good Night's Sleep
Crane Humidifiers were recently awarded by Consumer Magazine as one of the best humidifiers. It gets my Seal of Approval!

I've seen these at SDM and I'm considering getting one for our apartment thank to your review. Winter + Electric Heat + Air Exchanger = very dry air. I hate the fact that we are all scaly and our lips are cracked, but worst of all, I hate the fricken static electricity that has taken up residence in our clothes, couches, throws and blankets! I can't even bear to put fleece sleepers on Isaiah because he continuously shocks me as I carry him around the apartment.
I had the same problem with my UGG slippers!
You'll love it.
Wow... thank you so much for the information.. I think a humidifier can be very useful for our home. I have a question, does this humidifier have the quiet operation? Some humidifiers are noisy so my family feels disturbed by them, especially to be installed in the bedroom.
No sound :)
It's one of the first things I mentioned on why we love it.
Bought my daughter one, last year. A hello kitty one, the first night the light went out in it, there is no way to replace the light. It said NOT to return to store but to contact them first. I emailed and called them at least 15 times, never once received a response and by then it was too late to return it. It works good, but the night light part burning out the first night and having the machine not able to be taken apart to replace it was really disappointing.
