This is something for newborns to keep their ever so sweet feet warm and cozy.
About a year ago one of my first posts was about Auckland Sheepskin so I find it kinda right after a holiday hiatus to return with a giveaway from them as my One Year Bloggerversary is coming :)
Who are Auckland Sheepskin?
For over twenty years Southern Cross Sheepskins Inc. has been a retailer, wholesaler and distribution channel of genuine Australian and New Zealand sheepskin products. The company focus has always been supplying North Americans with a premier quality of sheepskin fashions and therapeutic products. They are based out of beautiful British Columbia and I think you can still find their product at HBC but you can also buy online and take advantage of their current sale here.
Before I get to the giveaway if there are brand new mommies here or moms to be....get this set. The sheepskin rug is amazing in the crib for a better sleep for baby and the booties are just to darn cute.
The sale price is $130 no, $105 with my code for you and truly a keepsake and the benefits of sheepskin are wonderful. I give this to my friends for Baby Shower Gifts. When my mom got this for me when Charlie came home from the hospital, I wept because it was beautiful but he was so uncomfortable in the bassinet and my little angel needed something like this. He slept much better. I swear!
I also use this in the stroller, more so when Charlie was younger but I do have a an actual sheep skin for our Maclaren stroller so he's warm. This was great in the summer as well as it did keep him DRY.
For the Giveaway I have 2 pairs for 2 lucky parents or parents to be!
1st Pair is a size Small and for 0-6 months ( Light Grey with rainbow lace, unisex) 2nd Pair is a size Medium for 6-12 months (Beige/Dark brown with cream lace, unisex) Discount Coupon:EVERYTHINGMOMANDBABY

Please include your email in your comment so if you're the winner I can email you! 4. If you like my blog click on Follow for extra brownie points :) 5. Good Luck ends on my Bloggerversary, Jan.12, 2011! 6. They are on Facebook if you could show them some love.
Well, this time I have switched sides since becoming a "businessmom" and I am having someone else do a review for me and what a great review it was on Charlie Banana cloth diapers.
As you know I love Charlie Banana diapers and I sent one over to Cloth Diapers and EC Saskatoon for her review and you can read all about here.
As well, I am sponsoring a Charlie Banana diaper giveaway on her Facebook page so todays the last day, head over and enter if you have ever wondered what they are like, read her review and enter her giveaway.
As well, you can always buy them here, and my gift with purchase ends Dec.31, 2010
Good luck and Happy Reading! She has a great resource on cloth nappy reviews.
We just got some fabulous Canadian stock at the shop. Designed and made in Canada. Glup Bebe!
Drooling bibs are super cute, nicely made and practical.
Yes, very practical because it's a great bandanna style bib for teething or protecting clothing from milk. It helps to keep clothes clean which is less laundry for you(YAY!) and when baby is passed the teething age, use it as a bandanna!
They retail for $10 bucks and are already moving fast from so pop over and check them out.
One of my favorite stores in the GTA is having a great Holiday promotion right now and come to think of it I should pop by over this weekend. I always find something fabulous here.
With great eco gifts to choose from either for the kiddos, the teacher or hostess gift you're sure to find something beautiful at this store.
Pistachio is located at Yonge and Eglinton at: 2433 Yonge Street 416.322.9451 www.epistachio.com
Promo ends Dec.24, 2010
I was just over at Emily's Latest and she had a great post on night lights and hers was about this cute mushroom light.
It got me thinking and being the shopaholic I am I thought "How cute, I want one" but then I remembered "Wait! I already have one for Chunkles room".
I have a salt lamp. Have you ever started at them in the dark? They are beautiful, kind of like the same glowing peach like light that you see in prenatal books with baby in utero and this beautiful lighting which is really our circulatory system. But I hope you know what I mean. I'm not good at describing things.
In fact, we've had this for a number years. When we had fish, and I know this will sound kooky to you but we had those Japanese Fighting fish and "Little Lady" was beginning to develop this growth around her eye.
Sad as we were, for some strange reason I had grown close to these fish and "Little Lady" was a really cool fish. I swear she knew who I was. She was flap her fins in excitement whenever I spoke to her, and I also swore she would watch me as I cooked. I loved her.
I remember hearing about the medicinal properties that this light has, so I moved her next to it. She just sat there and gravitated next to the light. Over the next few days her eye was getting better and she was coming back to her"happy" self. We were both amazed and my husband loves telling this story.
"Little Lady" was happy and healthy again but about 3 months later he died. Yes. He. We were misinformed that "Little Lady" was not a female but a male fish. Nonetheless I love him and was sad when I flushed him away. Super sad but he lived his last 3 months growth over the eye free.
I do believe in the "magic' of these salt lamps.
With our salt lamp it does provide enough light to change a diaper in the dark and they are nice to have in baby's room. So the next time you're at the Health Food store, do consider getting one because like I said, they are beautiful and there's an instant calm when you walk into the room. I think you'd might like it. It's a nice alternative to the traditional night lights.
Well, I got a totally rad shirt to review for my uber hipster Charlie the crazy Tot.
The Facts , why we love So Rad!
It just fits him but he loves this shirt, it must be the super soft 70%bamboo and 30% organic cotton. Or maybe it's the fact this line is completely Canadian, even the fabric is knitted in Canada. It does have cute thumb holes......
Wait no it's the So Rad' clothing is heat regulating and naturally antibacterial because of the bamboo.
Regardless what it is I love it because it's nicely made, the prints are fun and the colours are great. What's so Rad about Jas?
I love mom started businesses, Jasmine Bashaj is the mom behind this line as this was originally a greeting card company, her customers were commenting on how great they would look if the prints were on infant clothes so she gave it some thought and resourced local materials and created So Rad clothing. All made in Canada. Vaughan, ON actually and can be found in stores across Ontario, click here for a listing.
Triple stitch cover seam for durability and no inner seam (and it looks so nice)
Bigger bum for cloth diapers ! I will have to remember this line when baby #2 comes!
Prewashed for minimal shrinkage and super softness
Thank you So Rad for shipping a top of me to review, I love it and even though I got this to review all of the above are my true opinions and I think they are rad.
Find them on Facebook and Twitter too, tell So Rad that you heard about them through Everything Mom and Baby!
So Rad also blogs :)
The winner of this fantastic giveaway is #11......Harrison Family! I am emailing you right now, please respond within 48 hrs or another winner will be chosen. Here's to eating healthy for our little rugrats! If you'd like a kit for your family click here.
It's a cold snowy day in Toronto, finally it's beginning to feel like Christmas!
So I gather my boys in tow and we head down to the Eaton Centre, why it's still called The Eaton Centre when there's no more Eatons I don't know because it's a sad reminder that Eatons no longer exists thanks to the spoiled Eaton family who ruined their great grandpa's company.
But there is Hudsons Bay Company...oh wait. They are no longer Canadian. Such a rich history of this great company that can be washed down the drain like Eatons because the new owners want to reinvent it and well not carry toys during this Christmas season at the biggest location in downtown Toronto.
Hudsons Bay Company , I mean The Bay and Eatons. Two stores I loved growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After ballet class(good 'ol RWB) my mom and I would go to Eatons, she'd be at the cosmetics counter and I'd run around and pretend my legs would turn into spectacular legs after rubbing them with the egg shell packaging for hosiery from "L'eggs". Do any of you remember those 80's commercials? Click on commercial for a reminder. Now that's marketing. Over 20 years later and I still remember that commercial and the promise of beautiful legs.
But I'd always run over to the elevators and just stare at the big bronze statue of Timothy Eaton and rub his shoe and make wish.
Back in "those days" department store was department store shopping where you could get everything and in the 80's from what I remember it was GREAT!
Customer service was there, midnight madness sales were great, the toy section was awesome, the pet store, the market in the basement and when Christmas came the stores would always try to out do the other.
Eatons always had the best Santa set up with the puppets on the 8th floor, all these great mechanical puppets based on Disney movies and at the end there'd be Santa with a candy canes and the back ground would be all magical with rich woods and gold and red colours for the best pictures.
Fast forward to 2010.
No magic in the stores. Poor customer service and all those memories I had growing up are out the door. Maybe it's Toronto and it's politically incorrect to emphasize on Christmas. Really. God forbid you say "Merry Christmas" to anyone without offending them.
Walking around the mall was just lame. I hate the half assed approach of the sales people there, where they don't know anything, they look sloppy and bothered when you ask for help.
For one The Hudsons Bay Company can blow it out their you know what. I went there(Yonge and Queen location) because last year they had a great Santa set up and a great selection of toys and well, I needed to buy presents. I can't even count on the Bay to get it right because "they" the new owners of The Bay I guess want to change what Canadians remember what The Bay is and stands for.
So we go in and rush to the 5th floor since Charlie is sleeping. I get to the children's department and expecting to see toys and Christmas set up all I see are clothes. NO TOYS!
I ask the guy at the counter "Where are the toys?"
"Oh, there's no more toys here. Everything is at Zellers."
"What?!!!" I said.
Inside I lost my *hit. It's one more change in the wrong direction that is happening to once upon a time a great Canadian company and it's The Bay. WTF?
Why. Why doesn't the Bay sell toys anymore? Growing up The Bay and Eatons is where you'd go to buy toys because they are department stores!!!! Why is this changing????
Friggin downtown Toronto where can I buy toys? There's nothing there.
Sears is ugly in the set up, the quality of the store is just gross and needs work and the toy section there is a JOKE. Plus everyone working there looks miserable like everywhere else.
I miss the quality of shopping that once existed when I was young girl. I can't go back to the 80's.
I miss the people back then too. Sales people always looked groomed, they smiled, they'd be more than happy to help you now I am just tired. I don't ever want to step foot in a store again. It's just depressing. Yuck. Is that how corporate companies want us to feel? I am done.
Now that I have my own business I'd rather support other small businesses and WAHM's because they are happy to help you, they want you to buy from them and well, the quality of shopping from my home just sounds more appealing.
This is more of bitch post because I am tired of useless change. I am pissed off that I went downtown to do Christmas shopping and I couldn't.
Remember the movie A Christmas Story? Windows were decorated with toys and the "magic" of Christmas like in the opening credits. Why don't we have that? Who decided that things needed to change? I must be a sentimental, nostalgic old foegy now. I'm just tired in the lack of thought and quality for 2010. A sales people entitled to be blah.
The Bay wants to change their image, sorry Bay but there's already a department store that has high end clothing and is strictly clothing/accessories and it's called Holt Renfrew. If I wanted to shop at Holt Renfrew I would but I am coming to you because of 30+ years of knowing The Bay I am expecting I can find what I need there. Can we bring back the WASPS/Irish folks that founded all these great companies and do it right again? What would they say if they knew how their name is being associated with mediocrity customer sales and that their shop is not worth shopping in? Can we go back in time and get quality merchandise, get customer service, see your employees put together and speak and look professional? Can I get products that I'd expect to find in your store?
I don't know about your home but when the cold weather hits and the heat is turned on it is D-R-Y in our home and we need a humidifier.
Charlie especially does too because he's just a little dude and some mornings before we got the Crane humidifier he'd be stuffed up and dry.
Thankfully Crane products came to the rescue!
We were sent this cute Frog and it's GREAT! You can purchase these at Babies R Us and I've seen them a Shoppers Drug Mart. For more locations see here.
It should be on a elevated flat surface as you will see in the instructions, we just have ours on a stool we picked up at the Dollar Store.
Mind you when you have it on full blast (it's actually recommended by Crane that you have it at 70%, neverdo full blast) you will see some moisture on the floor.
Just have it enough to see the light mist come out of the frogs ears just put a towel on the floor around the humidifier to be safe, I have it on halfway and we have no leaking. I love seeing the mist come out of the ears. Super cute.
If you are wondering about Crane products I hope I've made it easier to make the decision to get this, it's truly a wonderful humidifier.
Crane Humidifiers were recently awarded by Consumer Magazine as one of the best humidifiers. It gets my Seal of Approval!
Please join me on my Facebook page as I'm looking for some lucky baby and mama to test out Zoe Organics Bath Tea.
It is a beautiful product that you must get to you know.
It's extremely gentle on baby's skin, use the tea to gently wash baby's body as it releases the cocoa butter to hydrate and soothe.
Wanna do a review for me? Leave me a message on my Facebook page under the Discussion Tab.
As an esthetician, this is a wonderful brand that I trust for my son's skin and I know once you get this you will feel the same way. I love this line! It's so nice to use as a "sponge" as well for their delicate skin. A must have! See our review here
The perfect alternative to soap; our baby bath tea is gentle enough for newborns. Oatmeal and lavender are natural cleansers. Together with calendula and chamomile flowers, they work as anti-inflammatory agents to reduce redness and inflammation associated with diaper rash, sunburn, eczema or allergens; which make this bath tea ideal for sensitive skin. Cocoa butter shavings add a luxurious moisturizer to the tea blend.
Directions: Soak tea bag in warm bath water for a few minutes, lightly squeezing to release tea into water; gently rub baby’s body and hair with soft muslin. Discard after one use.
I've combined the two because to be completly honest I forgot about Mondays class!
My bad, sorry Fit Chicks!
Not that Mondays class was unforgettable because how could Fit Chicks be it's just before I knew it, it was Wednesday and I got my butt handed to me.
Mondays class was awesome. We were coupled and my partner was so supportive, that's one of the things that is really cool with the ladies that join Fit Chicks. My partner supported me along the way as she is a veteran but she remembers how hard it was when she was "new". It was a great work out.
There's no pretension or arrogance, the chicks here are AWESOME and friendly.
So Wednesday class........
It was beyond circuit training, it was the majority of the class and by the end I was annoyed that we were doing the same exercises over and over again that when we got to having to do 2 takes on each exercise I was like "Whats the point?" I almost didn't want to bother running around the gym twice compared to the times before but I didn't want to be that ***hole just sitting there wanting to do something else. So I got up and ran. Don't get me wrong, it was hard, it was good but it got boring to when we had to do it I think beyond 3 times?
But.......Dana made up for it by having us play tag!!!! Yes....TAG! You know what?! It was super fun and made up for the monotonous circuit training we did. If we got tagged we had to do jumping jacks. It was really fun and genius to incorporate into a class.
Made me wish I was 10 again where I could run and not get winded, LOL!
It was the last class so we worked like 40 different muscle groups and since it was our last class until Jan.11, like I stated ealier, I got my *ss handed to me!
I am however sad that I won't have Fit Chicks until January, I look forward to having Dana kick my *ss in gear and the great Chicks that make working out fun.
You know what, I hope I've inspired you to get in shape, have fun doing it and to feel good again. Make this part of your New Years resolution to get fit with Fit Chicks because they are a great bunch of geniune woman who want you to excel, feel good about yourself and to be HEALTHY.
If you're a mom, you have to be HEALTHY for your children. That's why I'm doing it.
Thank you Fit Chicks for this unique opportunity. I have never felt this good since my teenage years when I was shuffled on weekdays doing Ukrainian dancing and ballet at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet( I love the RWB so I have to plug them too) on weekends. Please Santa be good and bring me tickets to when the RWB come to Toronto and does Moulin Rouge!
I also love how my muscle has memory(as yours do!) and my dancers posture coming back and hopefully my once upon a time gorgeous legs!!!!! I also incorporate exercises from Fit Chicks through out the day where ever I am :) It's so easy to do squats while I'm waiting for the elevator or arm exercises. I'm sure people think I'm a kook, LOL! In the mean time until class resumes I am working on my abs! Hello Pilates!

I was recently contacted by Nizo Wear to bring to you a new nursing bra.
What I like about this bra that I've noticed that others don't have is it has an additional insert pocket/flap for cooling gels and heating packs for sore breasts or those dealing with some of the issues that can come with nursing like Mastitis. I was sent a cotton bra to review and the design and make are great and does come recommended, as I've never seen a bra like this offered in stores in Canada, you can however purchase online, for more info check out the Nizo Wear website
Nizo Wear is offering Everything Mom and Baby readers a discount for the Holidays!
Save 20% with this code: emab20
Nizo Wear was created by a mom and that's one the things I love about blogging is all the great moms I get to meet and see and try their creations. After her own experience how do you keep the packs from shifting around inside your bra? Where are you supposed to get the extra pair of hands to hold everything in place while you're doing a million other things that all new mothers have to do? She was left feeling awkward and uncomfortable.
So, Nicole set out to do for other nursing moms what no-one had been able to do for her: provide a practical, comfortable way to get relief from the soreness breastfeeding mothers often experience. Her design was patented, and Nizo Wear was born.
Do check out her blog as well, lots of great info on breastfeeding, some humour and how to pick the right bra.
Find Nizo Wear on Facebook for more info too.
It's a snowy day here in Toronto so we're homeward bound and we're going to get crafty!
I picked up this play dough recipe at the Community Centre that we play at.
4 cups of oatmeal
2 cups of water
2 cups of flour (add more if playdough becomes to sticky)
Food coloring if you like
Mix oatmeal with water and flour. Add in a few drops of food colouring until desired colour is reached.

Small Potatoes one of my favorite companies and from my home town, Winnipeg, Manitoba or as I call it Winterpeg, Manitscoldout sent me a pair of mitten leashes. I also like their Drinky Leashes.
Two words.
Love them.
Mind you I have a 2 year old and they are little young for him as he is intrigued by everything and loves to take these and swing his arms around and watch his mits fly in circles rather than just wear his mitts but we have both pairs and they are not lost. That's the whole point!
Oh to be 2 and easily amused.
However, these do stay in place, they are nicely made, they are tres chic and a neat creation.
Well, I love little knick knacks and I like new creations that didn't exist when I was just a kid back in the 80's.
I've lost countless mittens and well, no more thanks to the Mitten Leash and Small Potatoes wants one lucky follower of Everything Mom and Baby to win a pair for their kids.
To Enter:
* Please "Like" Small Potatoes on Facebook and tell them "you want to win the Mitten Leash on Everything Mom and Baby" (just copy and paste this if you like)
* Please leave me your email address here and tell us what else from Small Potatoes you think is great and what mitten leash you'd choose for your child. Include the links of the products here so I can see too :)
* Good Luck! * This is open to US & CDN's * Ends 12/12/2010......11:50pm EST
20 Squats. 10 Left Leg Lunges. 15 Push Ups. 20 Sit ups. 10 Right Leg Lungs. 15 Push Ups. 4 SUICIDE Runs. We had to do his repeatedly for 20 minutes.
I wanted to run off the school building when I saw Suicide Runs...No I am just kidding. Fit Chicks makes me feel amazing and hubby and I are already talking about the fact that I can not live without Fit Chicks in my life. So we have to work it out financially as to how I can continue this for February, because I don't want to stop! I for see a budget in my near future...new bag or bootcamp? New hair cut or bootcamp? New boots or bootcamp? New car or bootcamp, LOL!?
We have a new instructor, Dana who I've met before and I love her method of training.
So Wednesdays class left me huffing and puffing but what I found really cool was that after every circuit training was each exercise was getting easier. I mean each sit up interval I was doing better and better and push ups, I was rocking them. Something I never imagined I could do when I first started 5 weeks ago.
In fact the next day my tot was having a major melt down when a customer of mine left my building, he was having fun with her beautiful daughter but as they were leaving he wanted to go outside too. The problem was we weren't dressed for going outdoors. So he FLIPPED out. Big time. The worst melt down I have ever seen him throw.
So he's kicking and screaming as we're waiting for the elevator, there's 2 guys waiting as well for the elevator and I know they are dreading going up the elevator with me.
So beyond annoyed at my sweet Charlie as he is having his break down I take him under my arm and I go down the hall and take the stairs.
15 flights of stairs to calm him down.
I never would have considered this if I wasn't doing Fit Chicks. There's no way I'd have the stamina to do this if I wasn't doing Fit Chicks.
But once he calmed down which was around the 7th floor I let him climb the stairs with me and he had forgotten what he was crying about and had a blast as we climbed the remainder of the stairs. I made it fun by chasing him(so I could build some cardio)
Now if only I can commit to dietary changes.....here's a recipe from Fit Chicks. Oh yeah, these Chicks will have your back once you sign up. They send me emails for tips for exercising at home and recipes and such. I am working on it. These sound yum so I'll give them a try! A mojito would go really good with this.

What do you think?
Everything Mom and Baby got a fresh new look. A little early blogiversary present, Everything Mom and Baby(EMAB) doesn't turn 1 til January but we're happy with the new result.
Shalon Estrada of Pretty Lovely Design designed my blog and it took a good couple of months mostly due to me being a typical Libra and not making up my mind and changing my decisions.
But she has been so fun to work with, willingly changing this and that until we got it right.
If you're looking for a new look for your blog, Pretty Lovely Design comes highly recommended.
Check out her Facebook page for updates as she works away and comes up with promos and giveaways.
Note to Pretty Lovely Design:
Shalon, it was so nice to find you through Another Lunch, thank you for creating a new look for EMAB! I enjoyed working with you and love all the little buttons and badges you've created and the business cards are gorgeous. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
What do you think of the fresh new look? I'd love to hear what you think! I hope you like it.
