First Impressions....

When I received this package I was impressed with the quality of the bag.  Quality stitching and zippers, 2 pockets on either side of the bag, magnetic clasp, back pocket, a fabulous extra bag that has thermal lining, 3 pockets on the inside and another section of the bag that it is like a forth pocket and change pad. 

How it works....

Can be worn as a regular diaper bag either on the shoulder or messenger style or even as a fanny pack.  Shorten the straps and place over the handles and it can rest nicely along the stroller.

It fits around the hips or waist, which ever you prefer, unzip where the zipper is as it acts as a little seat for where baby sits.
It has lots of room and on the largest fitting it fits up to 60 inches around the waist.
Lift the flap of the bag. Unbutton and pull out the carrier and at the edges of the carrier where it extends and makes it bigger. I figured that part out, LOL!
Pick up baby, fit securely on the hip and lift the strap over your head and adjust the straps and padding for a snug fit.
Easy Peasy!

Why it's so great and it's features!

It makes going out a breeze. Really.  Even though my toddler is just over 35pds and is the height of a 4 year old I did manage quite well in it.  He loves to be independent so we skip the stroller and usually in another bag I have the carrier.  Now my hands can truly be free when we use Kemby and when he gets tired and since he loves carriers he was happy to be on my hip and we get a snuggle.

You know what's annoying? Wearing a carrier and your separate diaper bag...especially when the strap slips off as you're carrying your child. I didn't have to deal with that annoying factor with my Kemby but that has happened in the past...especially in my JJ Cole diaper bag! Am I the only one?

It's ergonomically correct for your child, it's safe and secure for when you're at the airport to going for a neighbourhood stroll and all of life's journey in between.  I really think every family ought to have one. 
Baby's love to be held. It calms them and soothes them.  So when baby is having a fit and you have that:

"Oh I wish I wish I had the carrier with me!" 

you can easily rely on your Kemby Side Kick Bliss.  It's an instant calmer, moms, dads you must know what I'm talking about.  God knows, I've been there!

When you're a family of 2 or more and sometimes you just don't feel lugging the stroller out, especially for short trips this is extra handy as you can have all the essentials in your bag and you can use the carrier to carry the younger child and you have a free hand to hold the hand of your child.


It's ideal for baby's at the age of 4 months where baby has good head control.  This is important.  If baby is struggling with proper head control please, in any carrier do not put your baby in it as whip lash can occur.  I still cringe when I see baby's in carriers facing out and the Kemby Side Kick is only to be worn to have baby on the hip.
Besides for the obvious reasons why this bag is designed for hip wear, baby on the hip can still see what's going on around them and when they are over stimulated they can turn and snuggle into the parent/caregiver.

Baby's, Daddy and Messes? 

No worries, you can clean this bag in a breeze!  Yes I said Daddy because I got so made when he placed my other diaper bag(before I got Kemby) on the subway's dirty floor!  He learned his lesson ;)


The Sidekick is made with water- and stain-resistant fabric that can usually be easily wiped clean with a cloth that’s been dampened with water. If plain water doesn’t work, try adding a bit of diluted gentle detergent and blot the area. Do not immerse your Sidekick in water, or machine wash/dry it.
