It's time for a deep clean at home. With cat puke, potty training accidents, food thrown and spilled my poor carpet has taken it's toll. When I was contacted to review the Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine it was perfect timing, as if the Universe was listening to me because I was just thinking how my carpet needs a good deep clean. Now if only I can get that 50 million...Universe are you still listening?
So we went to RONA and RENTED....yes RENTED the machine and for just $30'ish bucks a day you can get professional cleaning minus the big bucks.
It's really easy to use. I got the cleaning fluid (I picked the Advanced formula). There's also one for Pets and Allergens which I am especially happy with because it is NON TOXIC. With kiddo's around I was happy to know I wasn't using heavy chemicals with endocrine disruptor's. It's designed for the environment so it's gentle on our poor planet that takes a beating from us.
It moves forward and backwards so it makes for quick efficient cleaning, it has a dry air feature to speed up the drying process as it applies heat while you clean for a deep clean. It's also easy to know the water and solution levels as it shows you if you need to add more. There's two tanks so it makes for easy removing and filling. It's EASY, that seems to be the word I'm using a lot of. For an extra $5 you can rent the brush to deep clean your furniture. Again where I have stains from my little Picasso/ Secretariat.

I haven't done a deep clean on our carpets because it can be expensive to rent a machine!
I did find the review helpful, because it showed that it can be inexpensive. Speciallly with having a little one cleaning the carpet often would be great!

I can't remember how long we haven't cleaned our carpet ... probably at least two years since I gave birth to my first child two years ago and then recently just gave birth to our second child ... just way to busy at home and haven't thought about deep cleaning our carpet!

The review is very helpful since it includes details as to how to use the machine and what you pick for the cleaning fluid (cause sometimes I found that it's hard to pick one as you don't know if it works with the machine, is it good etc.)

We haven't deep cleaned our carpets in years! The carpets do need to be replaced so that's probably why cleaning them is not a priority.

Last time we did ours was just before we moved! Although before that we did it ALL the time because we have foster dogs that have "accidents", and it's just so much easier to steam.... but we're always borrowing, begging or stealing them! I moved into the apartment I am in now last June and haven't shampooed the carpets yet. Dreading moving everything to do it. But I think it's time to finally do it. Too much stuff has been spilled and left behind in the carpet not to.
