Lil Bean N Green ~ Cafe N' Play

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Located in the east end of Toronto, in the funky 'hood of Leslieville you can find a fantastic little cafe called Lil Bean N' Green.
As one walks in you see lots of moms and happy nursling.  Moms are talking about everything from their labour, gas, to breast feeding, to no sleep and poops. After all we're mothers, our conversations just tend to hub around such topics. You can hear laughter and feel a sense of ease as this is the place where your families with little ones are WELCOME!

Located on Queen St East, Lil Bean N Green has only been around for a couple of years and moms April and Meray are the lovely owners behind this great cafe. They opened this cafe because they saw a need where parents go and unwind, kids are welcome and have a safe area where they can play(for a mere $4)
Lil Bean N Green also has fabulous workshops, you can reserve the cafe for birthday parties, a great and simple menu(Loved the Brie Grilled Cheese sandwich), Charlie enjoyed his Banana smoothie and play time!
The recently renovated play area is lovely! Where you see the turquoise wall is a nursing station, you can find wooden toys and other non toxic toy type brands found all over the place. The Tree House is the best and the kids had a blast in there.  A big open space for the kids to run and play makes it a lot easier for moms to come in and "r-e-l-a-x".  Like I mentioned earlier for a mere $4 where moms have said "I'll gladly pay $4 so my daughter can play and I can sit and have an adult conversation" Thank you Kristine for that, LOL! It's a great point :)

Everything Mom and Baby and Lil Bean N Green are working on some projects together so stay tuned and check out this family friendly cafe! At the end of the month they also have a lovely wine and dine dinner!
