I've been admiring this gorgeous line of silver jewelery for quite some time and when I got a chance to review I certainly did a happy dance.

Sippy Sure Medicine Sippy Cup

With cold season in full swing what better time than now to offer two lucky readers a cup of their own?!
I mean it's a sippy cup that dispenses medicine! Brilliant! Mix it with juice, tea, water what ever you fancy.  It's a great looking sippy cup, durable as well.

That meant for me no more battles of squirting the syringe with his tasty medicine.  My son would see me coming and immediately start screaming, the back arches the hands batting me away etc...

Baby Massage class at Miles Nadal JCC

Last week I was invited to the JCC to attend a new class they are offering called "Baby Massage".
One of the best ways to soothe a baby, help digestion and relief is through baby massage.
I've been massaging Charlie since day one and to this day he loves it. After bath time when I'm done with the front he'll flip over and ask to massage his back. Spoiled. Yes.  Maybe I do it more so than other families because my background is aromatherapy, reiki and esthetics.

Jessica Rust, the RMT(Registered Massage Therapist) has been an RMT for 15 years. Whenever she would visit her friends with little ones they would always passed their infant to her and ask "Help! Massage my child" so when Jessica came across a class to further enhance her modalities in massage therapy she took the course in infant massage and now teaches.

Jessica takes you through the benefits of massage, the contraindications like not to massage when baby has a fever, swelling or any respiratory issues and always massage when you yourself are well balanced and grounded.  Baby's pick up on our energy.
A hand out is given out as well, so don't worry if you forget all the info when you attend. 

Parents learned proper massage techniques and when you're massaging your infant Jessica recommended that one should use salad oils, because baby will most likely suck on their fingers etc and salad oils are recommended because well, they are edible. We used Grapeseed in the class.
Some of the techniques we learned were for the whole body we all were smitten with the "I  Love U" method for the stomach area to help digestion.
The baby's in the class were so happy and you can the picture below them connecting and looking at each other. (I had the parents permission to post this picture)

When the class was done the moms agreed that it was the best $50 they ever spent. They felt confident in massaging their infants and highly recommend it. I do as well, for an hour in class you will learn helpful techniques to bond further with your child and to soothe your little one.
The JCC is conveniently located at Bloor & Spadina. Spadina subway station has an elevator to for strollers.

Bissell Big Green Cleaning Machine

 We have some great giveaways coming for the home this time around!

It's time for a deep clean at home. With cat puke, potty training accidents, food thrown and spilled my poor carpet has taken it's toll.  When I was contacted to review the Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine it was perfect timing, as if the Universe was listening to me because I was just thinking how my carpet needs a good deep clean.  Now if only I can get that 50 million...Universe are you still listening?

So we went to RONA and RENTED....yes RENTED the machine and for just $30'ish bucks a day you can get professional cleaning minus the big bucks.
It's really easy to use.  I got the cleaning fluid (I picked the Advanced formula).  There's also one for Pets and Allergens which I am especially happy with because it is NON TOXIC.  With kiddo's around I was happy to know I wasn't using heavy chemicals with endocrine disruptor's.  It's designed for the environment so it's gentle on our poor planet that takes a beating from us.

It moves forward and backwards so it makes for quick efficient cleaning, it has a dry air feature to speed up the drying process as it applies heat while you clean for a deep clean.  It's also easy to know the water and solution levels as it shows you if you need to add more.  There's two tanks so it makes for easy removing and filling.  It's EASY, that seems to be the word I'm using a lot of.  For an extra $5 you can rent the brush to deep clean your furniture. Again where I have stains from my little Picasso/ Secretariat.

I am happy to say we are stain free and CLEAN!  I will be using this with every season change.
I had no idea how easy it was to clean carpet(with a safe solution) without having someone else due it with the hefty price tag.  No big fans were needed for drying as in the past. Our carpet is short, so it was dry in about 3 hrs. I was floored (no pun intended).
