Tegu-Simple inspiration at your finger tips

Tegu blocks are not your regular wooden blocks. They are magnetic and brilliant!  Have you heard of Tegu?

What makes them special?

I think these are the most unique styles of blocks we have ever encountered.  You can build out rather than just up. Because they are magnetic it really makes your child think in a different way to build and play due to the polarity of the magnets when they attach.
The magnets are hidden inside the wooden blocks so they are completely safe. These truly are special handcrafted, high quality wood and magnets used in the production of making Tegu which is why they cost a bit more compared to regular plastic toys and other wooden products.
The wood used for these toys are not made from endangered trees and are harvested very carefully
. They grow in abundance in the country of Hondura's and are made from the Huesito tree.

Tegu is a not for profit company where they have provided jobs for the people of Hondura's where all Tegu products are made.

You can see their beautiful story of how they came about and why they chose Hondura's {here}

We have had so much fun with Tegu and we really don't have a negative thing to say about this brand of toys. I love they are made of wood, love that they are magnetic and love that we can take it anywhere with us. We like to get once in a while and visit our local pub where everyone knows Charlie.  Here are some of his creations done on a lovely end of Summer evening.

So you can see lots of fun and we both(husband and I) love to play with him and his Tegu's.
Tegu comes in a variety of colours and combinations.  We got the 22 Block set which comes in a box and a wonderful little book with idea's on what to build with your set.
We've made the Fox and lately my son put the robot together. I really like that he is learning from the picture to follow direction. Great for preschoolers to learn and to put their minds to test.
So unleash your creativity, see more creations from Tegu fans around the world {here}
Tegu is definitely a favorite of ours and when you get yours I know you won't be disappointed so I give it our thumbs up seal.
and a little something for you from the folks at Tegu would like to offer one lucky fan of Everything Mom and Baby a Pocket Pouch set of Tegu's valued at $30.
