Tea drinkers! Rejoice with T-fal's Thermovision and indulge in DAVIDs TEA!

I had no idea that tea required certain water temperatures.  Seriously. In fact I only found out that tea's need to have water boiled at certain temperatures to get the true benefits of its healing and beneficial properties.  I saw this when I was reviewing DAVIDs TEA.  On their packaging it states the temperatures at which tea should be boiled. Who knew!?

For example, from T-fal Thermovision manual here are the following standards for water temperature when preparing your tea:
 160F(70C) - Green Tea
175F (80C) - White Tea
185F (85C) - Oolong Tea
195F (90C) - French Press
212F(100C) - Boil/Black Tea

The Ultimate Boil Test:
The real boiling test for you hardcore tea lovers was that it took just 5 minutes give or take 16 seconds to boil 1.5L of water!  I'm just putting this out there but I had friends swoon over this as they are hard core tea drinkers.  They purchased another brand before finding out about this and their kettle claimed to boil in 60 seconds. It took well over 6-8 minutes! So they were impressed with the speed of T-Fal's Thermovision and it's true claims of the product.
Not bad at all! I know this is a serious question for some tea lovers so I am really pleased with how quickly it boiled water.
Water temperatures ranges in colour  and has a digital display as you can see in the photo on the top right/bottom. When it's Red it is boiled and ready.  It also gives a nice quick beep.  Also there's a warm cycle where the water will be kept at the selected temperature for 30 minutes.
It also has a filter at the spout and this is to prevent limescale(good 'ol Hard water!) I thought it was for tea but NOPE! It's there to prevent particles of scale from falling into your delicious tea.

Teas I tested:
It really does make a difference when made properly! I prefer loose teas. Taste was the biggest thing I noticed and now feel like a Tea Aficionado and I liked that I was getting the real benefits of the tea.

Being pregnant in my first trimester I just didn't want my beloved cup of coffee so I ventured into tea.
DAVIDsTEA was kind enough to send me some samples and my favourite which helped with my nausea was The Earl of Lemon. Enhanced with Bergamot which is great and safe for dealing with nausea was my go to tea.  As I am writing my post I am currently sipping on their DAVIDs organic breakfast which is delish and perfect.  When I am craving dessert and have none in my home I reach for their Créme Brûlée which is Rooibos based.  It really is dessert in a cup and for the immune system when pregnant you gotta take it up a notch so I chose Secret Weapon. I drink it when my son has a cold for prevention.

So this Holiday Season if you have a tea lover on your list and your stumped for a gift,  get them a Gift Card for DAVIDsTEA and treat them to T-fals Thermovision Kettle!

* I received these goodies to share my experience with you, after all I need to know a product to promote it! All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.  DAVIDsTEA and T-Fal Canada have no affiliation.
