New Foody Pouch! GoFreshBaby is a fresh idea on making your own baby food

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

There's a new pouch on the scene!  Have you heard of GoFreshBaby?  If not, let them know on Facebook you heard about it first on Everything Mom and Baby!  We'll be giving away a couple of packs at the end of the post.

GoFreshBaby is reusable, resealable and refillable.

How much does GoFreshBaby hold?
It fills roughly up to 5oz, a great tip is to take the lid off, make sure the seal is closed and blow inside so it expands and with a measuring cup for less spill, slowly add your puree in.
Here's how GoFreshBaby shows their tips on filling your own GFB pouch:

My experience:
Using a measuring cup made a difference for less mess.  I was using a spoon to fill the pouch and found it a little messy once I was getting close to the top.  The seal however is super strong.  So don't worry.  I've used GoFreshBaby for filling in puree's to using it for smoothies, juices I've made and I've put kefir and yogurt in it.  My son loves it! I personally felt it could of filled up more but I didn't blow into the pouch as recommended. I've packed it for school too for when we're on the go.
It's freezer safe and it's top rack dishwasher safe.

What is GoFreshBaby made out of?
Don't worry!  It's made of heavy duty food grade plastic and is BPA and Pthalate Free.

How easy is it to clean?
I've used a bottle brush to get in there and clean but I did find it a little awkward to really get in there due the shape because of the angle of the pouch opening.  Once I got in there and digged around with my finger I got into the corners.  Other brands I've used have the seal opening at the bottom so that is what I am used to and personally find easier but that's just my opinion.

How much does it cost?
You get 3 for $9.99 and GoFreshBaby ships across the USA and Canada.  Shop here.

So what do we have for you? A giveaway of course!  Two lucky winners will win a pack of GoFreshBaby pouches for their little ones!

I like how in the FAQ's they tell you the price and where to find it, because being in a small town accessing cool products is sometimes more difficult! ;-) Thanks for the chance to win!

I like the key design elements that make this unique, such as the double zip closure and the semi-translucent skin so you can control portion size!

Love that its dishwasher safe

The GoFreshBaby Reusable Food Pouch is top rack dishwasher safe. Simply place the zipper opening loosely over the rack tines and remove the cap. The cap can be placed into a top rack utensil basket as well. Please note, repeated dishwasher use may reduce the quality and performance of the product over time.

I love that the zipper closure is on top so I don't have to worry about it leaking out of the bottom and it can stand up on its own.
