LEGOLAND Discovery Centre coming March.1/13 to Toronto!!!!

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

Towards the end of January the team behind LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto started to make preparations for their March.1/13 opening at Vaughan Mills.  Everything Mom and Baby got a sneak peak last week and let me tell you.  This place is awesome!

This is the first LEGOLAND to hit Canada and is described as stepping into the biggest box of LEGO bricks in the world.  It's 34,00 square feet of indoor fun where you can build, play, watch 4D LEGO movies, go on rides(there's 2!) a fun jungle gym and partake in Master Model Builders class, check out the GTA MINILAND(it's actually really cool and interactive!), LegoDuplo area for the younger kids to build and play and you can even book your next birthday party there.  It's geared towards the ages of 3-10 years old.
We checked out their 4D Lego movie and my 4 yr old had a blast as he's never seen a 4D movie. It's just long enough, maybe 7-10 minutes and has special effects so it feels like you're a part of the movie.
We went through Kingdom Quest to check it out and save the princess.   It involves a fun little ride that you go on but you have to kill stuff like skeletons and spiders etc... which I don't like for little ones to get into but you're the knight in shining armour so it's a given. See pic below.  I'm only mentioning this so you know beforehand if you don't want your child to engage in this kind of play.

Here are some pics from our morning at LEGOLAND, I'll only show a little so you have some surprise when you get there but you can see more on their site:

LEGOLAND is a fun place to visit.  It's family orientated so it has a full change station, family restroom, the family cafe where you can purchase food and drinks, it also is wheel chair accessible.
Ticket prices can be found here (kids 2yrs and under a free!) and lastly as you exit you will enter the LEGO gift shop
You can also purchase annual passes, they are 10% off right now. Buy and redeem before March.1/13!  You also get special perks when you buy a annual pass, check out the details here.
Find LEGOLAND Discovery Centre on Facebook and Follow their Tweets!

So go March.1st and have fun!
Thanks for visiting Everything Mom and Baby and reading our experience at LEGOLAND!

I've been seeing pictures all over Facebook about this place, my kids would just love to see it. Vaughan Mills mall isn't too far away either.

That is just too cool! They need that here (or BC may be better since I'm moving back there).

WOW! That looks like so much fun. I'm excited it's coming out soon, I'll definitely will be marking this down for us to do during this Summer with the kids. :)

We never had the chance to do LegoLand in California, but now I can't wait to come home to visit Ontario! My son will freak when I tell him there is a LegoLand. I especially love the Toronto lego stuff!
