A Squooshi Review: My favourite reusable food pouch for kids

Favourite Squooshi Fact:  Squooshi reusable food pouches save you money on your food bills: pre-filled pouches cost between 1.50-2.25 each!

I don't know what it is but my sons face lights up when I ask him if he'd like a Squooshi.  Perhaps its the cute name, the good food I make for him or the fun characters that makes Squooshi unique and awesome.

I'll tell you why I like it best.
It's contoured pouches.
I find I get all the food in there and when I close the pouch I rarely ever have a mess that I need to clean up.
I like the packaging.  It's also BPA free, PVC free, Pthalate Free, Lead Free, no choke cap and freezeable!
My son likes it too as I bring him his Squooshi he enjoys calling out the animals.  I got this set and we'll be giving away two sets of this fabulous four pack!
It's for big kids too!
I can use this with the twins and all the way up to my preschooler.  It's the best way to get veggies, grains and herbs and flavour into our little one's mouth.
Highly Recommended, it got my Seal of Approval.
No more waste!
It's also easy to clean.

The accessories are brilliant too.  Like the wooden drying rack and you can buy additional caps.
In today's Squooshi the one that my son is enjoying(pictured above) I made Apple, Quinoa, Banana and Honey.  When we hosted a Lego Party I had the kids enjoying Squooshi with this Green Smoothie recipe. However let me share with you my Apple Quinoa, Banana, Honey Puree.

My recipe:
2 Apples Chopped, Peeled and cored
2 tbsp of cooked Quinoa ( high in protein)
1 banana
1 tsp of Honey (nature's natural antibiotic to sweeten your day!)
1 dash of cinnamon
optional: 1 tsp of grassfed butter ( I like butter in applesauce)

Steam your apple, save the water from steaming so you can add more liquid if need be.
Blend the apple, quinoa, cinnamon, butter and banana and blend. Voila!

I love using my T-Fal Baby Steamer and Blender.  It's the perfect accessory for me and my Squooshi.
It steams and blends all in one and the pouring spout is awesome for my Squooshi's as I can pour evenly and not make a mess. * please note: T-Fal has no affiliation with Squooshi
                               1) chop & steam             2) blend             3) pour into your Squoosh

What else do I like putting in our Squooshi's?

Yogurt, kefir, smoothies(although it says no liquids on the site, you can thicken them), soup, usual puree's and whatever is Squooshi!  Wanna learn how to Squoosh? Read more here.....

These are cute. We call these pouches "squeezies" over here and my son totally lights up as well.

I like the large 4 pack of Squooshis -- It seems like pouches are never big enough.

Janine Fowler said...

I like that you mention this is a good way to get veggies into toddlers... That has been a struggle lately, but he will eat anything presented in a pouch! We did BLW so not much chance for me to play around with homemade purees. I'd love to experiment in the kitchen with these!
