Lavender & Coconut Oil DIY Scrub! #100usesforTP

This is something nice to whip up. I hope you like my Lavender & Coconut Oil DIY Scrub.  Do you have coconut oil at home?  Of course you can use whatever essential oils you like but for this I used Eucalyptus, Lavender and Tea Tree.  All from our friends at Thursday Plantation which recently added two new essential oils to the line.  Lavender and Eucalyptus.  I love diffusing the two together as well.
Some benefits to Lavender are: Analgesic, antiseptic, antidepressant, antimicrobial and sedative
Blends well with Juniper berry, other citrus oils, myrrh, rose
Some benefits of Eucalyptus are: Antiviral, expectorant, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic and balsamic
Blends well with Lavender, Cedarwood, Lemon, Pine, Rosemary and Marjoram.
Some benefits of Tea Tree are: Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, fungicidal and antiviral
Blends well with Eucalyptus, Lemon, Lavender, Rosemary, Marjoram and Pine.

To make the Coffee Foot scrub you can follow my recipe on The Dose control.  But here is my Lavender and Coconut Oil with dried lavender flowers and of course the above mentioned essential oils.

1/2 cup Coconut oil (liquefied)
2 drops of Lavender Oil
2 drops of Eucalyptus
2 drops of tea tree
1 tablespoon of crushed dried lavender
1 Mini Muffin tin or ice cube tray
Makes about 4

Combine all the ingredients together and freeze for 10-15 minutes until solid.  This is the perfect size to fit in the palm of your hand.  I love it for the feet and back of my thighs personally.  Wait for it to soften a little, maybe 5 min at room temperature and apply to dry skin or while you are in the shower whilst a little damp. You skin will be nicely hydrated by the coconut oil as well!

Make your own Lavender water by visiting my other Thursday Plantation post.  Thanks again to Thursday Plantation for supplying me with your essential oils.  It’s been nice to get back to into aromatherapy.  You can purchase Thursday Plantation online and/or find a retailer near you.  To follow along what other bloggers making, search under #100usesforTP.
