Marché Brookfield Place Street has a new Kids World!

OMG.  One of Toronto’s best family restaurants just got 10x better.  Imagine the hustle and bustle of downtown and Christmas shopping at the Eaton Centre.  You’re warm, hangry, the kids are impatient and hungry too.  You want to go somewhere so you can just relax and let kids be kids and not get the stink eye when you walk up to the hostess station.  Then you get the brilliant idea and remember that blog post on Everything Mom and Baby.  In the mood for bubbly, oysters or a good coffee and European desserts with a wicked kid’s play area.  Yes, it is possible.  A short walk down Yonge Street you’ll get to Wellington Street and see it- Marché Movenpick.  The kids will be excited too!

Last September Marché Movenpick Kids World got a playground makeover.  Do you remember my post from last year on creating hygge while dining out? Well, since then they’ve added to the kid’s area where they can play with European toy maker, Brio.  A great slide, a fabulous little hut to play market, a tiny rock climbing area(better for toddlers) did I mention the awesome slide?  Here, have a look at what my friend and I got to do while the kids played.  Can I tell you how refreshing it is to catch with old friends and the kids can eat, play and we can relax? Also during this time of year, they can take part in supervised Holiday Crafts at no additional cost every Saturday and Sunday from 12-2pm.  When the holidays over they will host other great kid activities hosted by Marché during the same time, every weekend.  Pretty great, right?!

The beauty of it all is you get fresh food from a variety of regions of the world and food preferences for everyone.  The kids had pizza, strawberry shortcake, we had adult treats and just loved that we could do this is downtown Toronto. It is worth it as Marché is a little expensive(there is a 12% service charge added to your bill) but as parents we love the atmosphere, the kids are catered too and they let kids be kids.  It’s also a great place to have birthday parties!  I love the Swiss hats the birthday kids gets to wear and enjoy a traditional Swiss style custard cake that is delicious!  It’s called Waehe.  I can’t wait to throw a Surprise party for the kids there with all their friends.

And to finish the rush of the holidays, cheers.  I hope you’ll check it out.  I can’t wait to go back as it is my favourite family style restaurant.  Check out their weekend specials and Happy Holidays!
