If you’re looking for a great way to add smoke to your food, Breville Canada has created the best portable smoker. It’s called The Smoking Gun and it’s a great gift idea for Father’s Day. I also think it makes for a great for a host/hostess. Cottaging this Summer? Camping? Fishing? Bring it on because when there’s smoke, there’s flavour.
You can add smoke to anything. Besides food, add a little smoke to your cocktail beverage( I love a good Caesar/Bloody Mary), it smokes Whiskey deliciously and even desserts! Get ready to enjoy smokehouse flavours that will make you salivate. This amazing kitchen appliance allows you to infuse a variety of foods and drinks with natural smoky flavours like applewood and hickory without adding any heat.
How does it work?
Very easily! It comes with every you need, except a light. You get two kinds of wood chips. Applewood and Hickory and batteries. You pop the batteries in, put a few of the wood chips of choice, turn the fan on high and ignite. Super easy. You get a lot of smoke so you may want to do this in a well-ventilated area. It has a fan that circulates a steading stream of smoke through the tube and it couldn’t be easier.
I have a few recipes I’d like to try. So far, I’ve made a smoked chicken that we all loved. This weekend we are having friends over so I am going to make a Smoked Roasted Garlic Aioli, I am going to making a DIY Caesar Bar so I have high hopes of making a Smoked infused Caesar. I find this to be a great alternative if those big smokers that are out of our budget. The Breville Smoking Gun costs $129.99 and like I mentioned it’s portable. I find this to be a hit at most BBQ’s! Since we live in an apartment we can’t have a BBQ on our balcony, I find I can still get the same great taste of the BBQ with this.
Sooooo, with Father’s Day coming up, thanks to Breville Canada we are going to give one lucky family a Breville Smoking Gun of your very own to gift Dad 🙂
