What a great summer it has been! I have recently tried some Orange Theory classes to get my exercise fix in and to have created a new way to have my self-care, something I talk about often when it comes to my wellness journey. It is my one hour to recharge before I head back home to the chaos of my three littles.
We also just got back from vacation which included lots of cold beer, carbs and perhaps some other poor food choices. I also forgot to pack my vitamins! Well, now that I’m back it’s time to refocus, get back to my workout classes and up my vitamin game a little. I have been consistent with my Jamieson Essentials and recently replenished our probiotics as we need some serious digestive TLC! Yes, the beer was delicious and refreshing but after not having it
for so long I found I was left feeling uncomfortable and bloated. My gut health has been a bit bothersome lately so I know I know I need to get some plant based foods into my diet, take some digestive enzymes and of course, probiotics.
With September around the corner, I will actually have time to myself to really focus on my well-being as the twins start JK this Fall. I plan on continuing my Orange Theory classes on a regular basis if budget allows, as I’m hoping to hit the gym maybe 5 times a week as I have a big birthday coming in October. I can thank Jamieson Vitamins for helping me on my wellness journey as I can feel the difference when I don’t take my vitamins and supplements.
With a few essential steps to get back into the swing of things and the right information, following these steps can be easy to get into. If you’re feeling in a rut, here’s a guide to help you in the right direction.
1. Start with your diet and if certain foods are causing problems, try cutting them out for a month.
2. Take your vitamins! The Jamieson Essentials is easy as 1,2,3, and 4.
Start with a Multivitamin– Nutrition is important. It’s fundamental to our health.
If it’s hard to get those green leafy and other veggies into your diet, a good multi can aid in your health. Jamieson’s MultiVitamin for adults is an easy way to meet your daily vitamin needs.
Extra Strength Omega 3’s: A fish oil with no fishy aftertaste is my favourite. But also the importance for our heart health and joints.
Jamieson Probiotics: Food has changed over the years. Wheat is not the same and so many people suffer from some form digestive issues. Also, the gut is where the immune system lies. You want a healthy gut to have a healthy immune system and probiotics are key healthy gut flora.
Vitamin D: a key vitamin to take as it’s the sunshine vitamin but also helps the body absorb calcium to build strong teeth and bones.
Check out the What should I take if you’re looking for something more tailored to your needs. It’s actually a pretty good guide that helps you find what you’re looking for depending on your symptoms.
3. Schedule new habits into your life. Stick to your schedule even in small ways. No time to work out? Do 15 squats. No time for yoga? Take a few deep breaths. Can’t go on vacation? Try a staycation and check into a hotel. Grab your swimsuit and put your feet up after a dip in the pool. Simplify your diet one bite at a time. Try new food that makes you feel good and that are healthy.
4. Get outside! Go for a walk, meditate, take a long bath, go shopping alone, find a way that makes you happy and start your own self-care routine to help combat stress. I live close to the ravine and it’s amazing how nature can make us feel better.
I hope you like these simple tips and if you’d like to learn more check out my other posts, here and here on Jamieson Essentials and I’ll see you in September!
