Miele Blizzard CX1 has arrived!

There’s a new vacuum that has JUST launched today! It’s the Miele Blizzard CX1 and one of the things I like the most about this is that it’s bagless.  It’s their first ever bagless vacuum and I am honoured to have been one of the many of  Canadian bloggers to try it first.  Okay, the vortex technology is pretty cool too, the Blizzard CX1 uses the centrifugal force created by an airflow rate in excess of 100 km/h to separate dust from coarse debris and assembling it was a breeze.

Something I haven’t really experienced is that I can adjust the suction power to the floor surface. This makes the floorhead easy to move and enables optimum cleaning results. I like the easy to read graphic symbols for the various applications which make it easy to choose the right performance level.  I also like the manoeuvrability and look at how easy it is to find the accessories, I love the storage crevice.

I found it great on my hardwood floors, it’s not loud, I really liked the high suction and I found the cable to be long enough to get around our apartment. The Blizzard combines the attributes of both dustbag and bagless vacuums, yet is a hybrid product that cleans more consistently than any other brand, I am thrilled that it can reach under the couch! Something I haven’t been able to get done with my various vacuums in the past.

“In most bagless vacuum cleaners, air passes through a multi-cyclone system to separate dust from dirt. This requires air to change directions many times, resulting in lots of noise and wasted energy. With multi-cyclone systems, regulating suction power becomes very difficult because the vacuum requires a constant air speed to prevent the cyclone from collapsing. Plus, dust and dirt can escape when the container is emptied.”

MieleBlizzardSettingsTo prevent dust and dirt from reentering the air, the Blizzard features an incredibly effective, three-stage filtration system. It’s easy to lift out and to release into the garbage.  There wasn’t a cloud of dust that escapes the storage container when you dispose of the dust and dirt.  I found that pretty good and thanks, to the three-pronged approach to air filtration.

“In the first stage of filtration, coarse particles are thoroughly separated from fine dust. Then, dust is held in the pleated Gore®CleanStream® fine dust filter located inside the vacuum. With normal use, the easily removable filter container should be rinsed once or twice a year under running water, with cleaning prompted by sensor controls. The hygienic disposal process has been certified by the US American IBR Laboratories, the international market leader in testing filtration performance.”

Although I am not familiar with this brand, I will take a look. We need a new vacuum which we can use on stairs. Bagless is the way to go! I would never again buy one which requires bags.

Bag-less vacuums are the way to go! Just clean them every once in a while and you’re golden! No stinky bags to throw away. My only “gripe” is it’s not an upright; but, if it does the job better than an upright, I’d love to have one!

This sounds like the super vacuum, to shame all other vacuums lol. I so have to get this for my home. My entire house, except the bathroom and kitchen is carpeted.

Oh! I’m so jealous. It’s funny, I never thought I would be one to daydream about vacuums, but I’ve gotten to that point in my life that I really need a good one. If I came into a bunch of money – that’s what I would buy first.

I love bagless vacuums. This one looks really nice and fairly easy to maneuver. Sounds like it would be a good one to check out the next time we’re in the market.

I need this vacuum! I’m tired of borrowing one to get my cleaning done. I like that it is bag less, no more stinky bags to deal with.

I am familiar with the Miele name and the quality products they produce. This vaccuum sounds like a winner, although I find the price a bit steep. I hope they come out with a cordless version. Thanks for your review.
