My Holiday Gift Shop for the kids from Amazon

Christmas is just about 6 weeks away! Are you ready? Do you brave the mall or prefer to shop online?   I’ll tell you what I prefer. ONLINE!  Malls exhaust me and I’d rather avoid the usual poor customer service.  I posted an interesting topic on my Facebook page.  Do you prefer toys as gifts for your kids or do you prefer for family and friends to offer experiences?   I like a little of both, to be honest.  I’ve started to do one toy, an experience, one book and clothing.  Because kids do love seeing all those presents under the tree and when it comes to toys, I am selective so I hope you’ll like my list below to help you get the perfect gifts for your family and friends.  I think Amazon has you covered and most of these items are on sale.

1. Melissa and Doug Pattern Blocks & Puzzle.  Quiet and educational, tangrams are brilliant for little minds.  There are endless ways to play as well.
71F6bnBCoXL._SX450_2. Jaq Jaq Bird.  Quality, reusable chalk art that won’t smudge.  Check out my review {here} but this along with their beautiful chalks your little artist will be over the moon.  There are lots of chalk books to choose from, I love Degal one I posted below.
61+mL68zJML._SL1000_3.  LeapFrog Epic– This really should be your child’s first exposure to this sort of thing. That way you can keep your phone to yourself.  Check out my review {here} but this is a fantastic educational tool.  It comes with LeapFrog Academy and loads of other apps as well.

It is the world’s most intelligent battle racing system.  Each Supercar is a self-aware robot, driven by powerful artificial intelligence (A.I.) and equipped with deadly strategy. Whatever track you build, they’ll learn it. Wherever you drive, they’ll hunt you down. The better you play, the better they become.
ankidrive5.  Mega Gemstone Mine– Another one on my son’s list.  However, I see all three of kids enjoying this so maybe I’ll save it for Ukrainian Christmas.  The Mega Gemstone Mine comes with the archeological tools provided and explore naturally formed crystals and gemstones from around the world. Unearth these gemstones and add them to your rock collection. You’ll learn all about each stone and about how they are formed with the detailed learning guide included in this kit. STEM science learning just doesn’t get any better!  Pair it with this book on Gemstones.
81pJAjF+ZxL._SL1500_6.  Osmo.  Oh, friends.  This is a good one.  My kids love playing with Osmo and I’ll have to get more of their games as well.  It’s also educational, STEM-based and is an award-winning game which makes core subjects — like math (numbers) and spelling (words) — fresh and fun. Check out my review {here}
81iVPligcyL._SL1500_7 . Crayola Magic Screen Creator.  We JUST got this and it’s pretty neat as you can draw on the screen and place 3D images (it comes with a lot!) and your art can come to life with it. It’s animation made easy.
81DQ8pcKG0L._SL1500_8. Hape Country Critters Wooden Activity Toddler Play Cube. The Country Critters Play Cube features a shape sorting puzzle, a ball roller coaster, rotating maze and a tracking panel, all topped with brightly-coloured, unique floating wire maze to provide children hours of entertainment.
81NkL0rhi5L._SL1500_9.  I LOVE all things Grimms. German quality, heirloom toys made to last. Waldorf play is wonderful. If you have a friend or family member that prefers natural, imaginative play and wooden toys, this will be a hit. Trust me.  Pair it with Sarahs Silks and my First Roots Children Book with a Grimms Conical Tower(small) or their well-known rainbow.

WaldorfToys_Amazon10.  Kath Kruse Doll.  You may have not heard of Kath Kruse so I’m happy to introduce them to you.  They are my favourite dolls for little girls for a number of reasons. Yes, they are a bit pricier but the reason why outweighs the typical plastic dolls you see all over the place. It’s an heirloom piece as well.
Her face is hand painted, the soft-bodied doll is stuffed with fiberfill and weighted with pellets, giving the doll a natural feel when your child carries her. It’s fun for toddlers and preschoolers to role-play while walking hand in hand with lolle poppy. It’s easy to dress and undress lolle poppy, so her outfits can be mixed and matched with other lolle doll outfits (sold separately). The 21” doll has a phthalate-free vinyl head and high-quality kanekalon hair that becomes more lustrous the more your child brushes it. They’ve been made in Germany since 1911 and all Kathe Kruse products sold in North America meet or exceed all applicable safety standards.  Their Waldorf dolls are sweet as well.610zkQ3TFGL._SL1029_My favourite books for kids as I always gift ones by Sibylle Von Offers, Elsa Beskow, Astrid Lindgren, Daniela Drescher, the illustrations are beautiful and magical.  They a very old school style to them as these stories go back quite a ways.  I hope you’ll enjoy them.

 Norse Myths
 The Snow Children
Ollie’s Ski Trip
Children of the Forest
Little Fairy Can’t Sleep
Mighty Jack

I truly hope you like my Amazon Gift Guide and I hope you’ll share it as well.  What are some of your faves?  Are you ready for Christmas?
