When I worked in a fabulous aromatherapy clinic in Forest Hill and the holidays rolled around we would put peppermint on our diffusers. When I went to work and opened the door, it smelled like Christmas. Oh, how I miss that clinic and working with essential oils!
New from Thursday Plantation this season is Peppermint, which fits with their other therapeutic collections of essential oils such as Tea Tree, Lavender and Eucalyptus. I do love Thursday Plantation oils as I trust the source and their essential oils are free of SLS, parabens, synthetics and fillers, guaranteed unaltered. It’s a pure oil. Also, another new release is their Thursday Plantation Diffuser. I put it on the 10second feature to get bursts of cool steam and my chosen oil, it lasts all night. Again, I am impressed. It’s very affordable at $59.
Last week I attended an excellent and informative media event for the launch, I learned so much that I must admit with my aromatherapy background I had no idea Eucalyptus could be used for so many other things other, then cold and flu. For example, as the lovely Melissa Maker(Clean My Space) told us, one of the easiest ways to remove those annoying price stickers is to add a drop or two of Eucalyptus oil on the sticker. Let it saturate and voila. Peel off, every so easily. Go ahead and click through my insta below.
This sticker has been driving me nuts! It wouldn’t peel off easily & when I was at the @thursdayplantationcanada media event, @melissamaker told us about a great hack. Use a drop or two of Thursday Plantation Eucalyptus oil to remove stubborn sticker tags. Well, I tried and I am impressed it worked! Add a drop & wait a few minutes for it to saturate and peel off. Voila! #100usesfortp #Eucalyptus #essentialoils #hack

Cooling, warming and Analgesic
Also, something that I am extremely impressed with, with their Peppermint oil is that it is helping my ankle pain. Like in a huge way. I twisted it back in October as I stepped on a crack and twisted my ankle and just lately it has been causing me a lot of pain. A LOT! So I applied a pain relief cream that I’ve been using that really hasn’t done much so I added 3 drops of Thursday Plantation and within a few seconds I could feel its analgesic effect. It was cooling than warming. I was amazed as normally I wake up at night in pain and for the first time in weeks, I ankle was better. I will keep doing this until it is completely healed. With my new barre workouts that I’ve started, I need my ankle in tip-top shape.
Natural Chest Rub
Skip the vapour rub and make your own!
1/2 cup of plain shea butter (or buy a small jar and add the oils to make your own to suit your preference)
3 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
1 drop of Lavender
3 drops of Peppermint Oil
Simply mix it all together and store in a jar. When you feel a cold coming or are congested rub into your chest, back and feet(put socks on after) and cozy up. I apply this to my kids feet. Visit Thursday Plantation(100usesforTP) for more ways add essential oils into your daily life. From cleaning to soothing to healing, there’s an oil for it.
