A delicious appetizer with Triscuit

I’ve been brewing up ideas on how to use the new collection of Triscuit crackers.  Over the holidays my kids devoured the Nutmeg and Cinnamon collection.  Soft warm cheese and a drizzle of honey, it’s a hit for the kids and a nice snack for after school.  However, below I’ve included a few other varieties.  If you’re stuck with an app idea, I hope you’ll try these as it’s quick and easy. If you have someone coming over for lunch and you’re pressed for time, grab your Triscuits and my go-to soup is ready-made Autumn Harvest Butternut Squash from Sobeys.  It pairs so nicely with the Nutmeg and Cinnamon crackers and the perfect cheese that melts just enough is the  Coeur de Lion.  You can get them in mini sizes which is what I use for my cracker appetizers and it’s perfect because your guest won’t be dripping with cheese but it melts in the centre perfectly.

Pictured above is a lunch I recently served when a friend came over.  Triscuit( is NOW GMO-free!) appetizers have the Couer de Lion cheese, starting from the front and moving left to right:

– Triscuit Nutmeg & Cinnamon, you can slice the mini cheese rounds into 3 if you like and gently broil on low for 3-4 minutes and place toppings.
-cheese and honey
– cheese and Schneiders Oktoberfest mustard (goes well with the prosciutto too!)
– cheese and prosciutto
– cheese and thinly sliced organic Ambrosia apples
