Making yogurt drinks for kids with BifiKid from Vivo Cultures

I don’t know about your kids but my kids can’t get enough of the drinkable yogurt drinks like Iogo for example.  What if I told you there was a better way to enjoy a yogurt drink for kids called BifiKid for kids aged 2+ years.  The best part. You can MAKE IT YOURSELF!

Why make it yourself? Why BifiKid?
– It’s healthier
– No dangerous recalls to worry about
– Real bacteria(human strain! Animal strain does nothing for you!) that your children can absorb
– BifiKid restores the microflora(see below)
– BifiKid normalizes digestion
– Bifikid restores healthy intestinal microflora in cases of dysbacteriosis and dysbiosis, contributing to preservation, strengthening and restoration of health.

Since getting our Cuisinart Yogurt Maker I have been making yogurt nonstop, I love that I can “set it and forget it” as it ferments at the right temperature and then cools. I usually give it a good stir at 8 hrs of fermenting.  If you’re looking to starting to introduce your little one to fermented milk, BifiKid is the best choice for a kefir.
My kids love it, I love it, the taste is mild and perfect.  Did you see my story with the Instagram video? Have a look here on Facebook so you can see what it looks like.    Just the other day I tried it with 2% Lactose-Free milk(12hrs fermenting) as it’s higher in protein, I always use 1 litre of milk.  It was even milder and lighter if that makes sense.  Once I’d given it a good stir it was smooth and delicious but I prefer to use Organic Whole milk. I liked the consistency better and the flavour.  I even recycle those little yogurt drink bottles and reuse them for own BifiKid drinks for the kids to enjoy at school.  I’ve added honey and cinnamon as that’s their favourite or a teaspoon of Bon Maman jam.  My kids know to shake it up.  I am looking for bigger glasses/bottles for them to use so they can shake it up and enjoy with Evive smoothies.  Cleaner ingredients, better quality. Made by you. What’s not to love and it’s super easy to do!   Read my first post or visit How To.

The body-friendly bacteria that makeup Bifikid, actively breed in milk forming a thick fermented milk drink with a pleasant mild taste and gentle consistency. Healthy properties of yogurt are determined by the high content of useful microflora cells (bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, lactococci) and their useful metabolites (polysaccharides, vitamins, fatty acids, enzymes, etc.)Bifikid includes bifidobacteria, lactobacilli of various species and strains.
I encourage you to read about the strains and what they do on VivoCultures because it’s absolutely amazing what you’ll learn.  I hope I’ve encouraged you to try making your own yogurt and drinks at home.  Vivo Cultures is a brand I trust and truly love and enjoy working with.   It’s about the quality and ease of making the best for your family.
As I work on my health, my next Vivo culture to try will be Slim Girl, a perfect drink before going to bed!  I’m all about reducing belly fat 😉

That’s a great idea. I make smoothies and shakes all the time. I’ve actually never thought of making a drink with yogurt, even though I buy them at the store.

    • Mama Ash | 2nd Mar 18

The best part is that the bacteria used in this are ACTUALLY beneficial. The grocery store stuff does nothing unless you’re buying a brand like Bio-K.

I have never used a yogurt maker! I would love to do it because then I can make it lactose free (and actually taste good LOL). Your kids are very lucky to be having yogurt that is homemade every day. It looks delicious.

    • Mama Ash | 3rd Mar 18

Yes and thank you! The lactose-free one was really good. I highly recommend the Cuisinart one.
My twin finished it off last night. She’s asking for more but I wanna make Slim Girl for me as I have some gut issues and the probiotics in this yogurt are real and will actually do something.

Drinkable yogurts are the way to go! I think BifiKid would be a great and convenient drink for small children!

  4. Marysa | 2nd Mar 18

This sounds like a great product for kids. Probiotics are so important for overall health, and this is a great way to incorporate healthy cultures into your child’s diet.

    • Mama Ash | 3rd Mar 18

Definitely and it’s real human strain bacteria which is brilliant because that’s the type our bodies need to benefit from enjoying yogurt.

This is great to have on hand. Beneficial for the kids health and easy to whip up! Much tastier than a probiotic chew!

  6. Heather | 2nd Mar 18

I think its great that you can make this at home and you don’t have to get it at a store with a whole bunch of preservatives in it.

Oh i love this idea. My son would probably really benefit from this, and it’s so hard to control what he eats when he’s not with me – so this might help even it out so he’s getting more nutrition

Vivo Cultures are amazing for gut health. I hope you’ll check them out.

This is such a great idea! I don’t have kids currently but I am always saving up wonderful ideas like this for the future because I KNOW this is the kind of stuff I will want to offer them.

I’ve never tried making yogurt. I just always buy at the store. I love the idea of making your own yogurt though. Next time. 🙂

This is my first time hearing about Vivo Cultures, but I’ll definitely have to check this line out sometime. Especially the BifiKid for my children.

I love yogurt but making my own seems like a hassle. Making your own yogurt does have benefits though since you can control the ingredients that you add to it.

    • Mama Ash | 17th Mar 18

Since getting my Cuisinart Yogurt Maker, it’s as easy as 1,2,3 🙂

I love that these are a healthier option than milkshakes or sugary smoothies. I think I’m going to try this for myself 😀
