Bébé Gourmet features:
• Dishes inspired by culinary traditions from France and other international cuisines
• Nutritional guidance at each stage from Dr. Jean Lalau Keraly, Pediatric Nutritionist and Endocrinologist
• Quick and easy recipes that take under 30 minutes to prepare (many under 15!)
• “Yummy Tips” on adapting recipes for the whole family.
Bébé Gourmet is an excellent book that I recommend picking up at the book store. It is loaded with great information on nutrition, tips, essential tool must haves, must have tips on freezing in advance, pantry essentials, dairy must haves and fruits & veg.
I started out going grain free with the twins which I will share in another post. But with this book what I loved was the fresh ideas of making compotes. First lunches offers delicious ways to entice baby with new flavours and herbs and my favourite section is First Big-Kid Lunches & Big-Kid Dinners with the family. I came across great recipes for my son! My über picky 5 yr old.
Perfect for snacks, galettes are great and packed with veggies you can sneak in and sweeten with yams. Toasted fruit pockets? Brilliant and great for packing to school.
