Creative play with Wanda’s Creative Clay

WCC_logo_wtbrdr_smIn December 2006, Wanda opened the doors to her brightly accessorized studio space, conveniently located in the Mount Pleasant and Eglinton area of Toronto. The studio is the perfect spot to host a birthday party or to take part in afterschool or camp programs.

My son just had a birthday a week ago and we planned his birthday party at Wanda’s Creative Clay.   I don’t know why I never thought of Wanda’s before as it’s close to home and it has everything kids(and parents) could want. Friends, creativity, creating and education.  It’s peaceful, Wanda is patient and kind and I loved her calmness and energy.   She is a beautiful person inside and out.  Everything was well organized and my son and friends LOVED it!

To book your party you just need to call or email Wanda’s Creative Clay.  She creates a special welcome board for the birthday boy/girl and she makes a special birthday creation for your child.  You can invite as many as 15-20 kids but confirm with Wanda for your party and price quote.  Parent’s you can hang out in the back room enjoy a glass of wine-wink, wink(you bring it!) and the kids have a blast learning about clay, dividing and the special techniques for the art of clay.   My son picked 3 Angry Birds.

Recently Wanda’s Creative Clay made it in the Guinness World Record for the Largest Sculpting Lesson. This wonderful event was for Eden.  Wanda has known Eden since she was a little girl at the age of 4 as she was a student of Wanda’s.  The Largest Sculpting Lesson was  in memory of little Eden and her fight with cancer.  It was a free event and all proceeds raised will be donated to the SickKids Hospital.

I truly can’t say enough good things about our party experience at Wanda’s Creative Clay.  Check it out for your child’s next birthday party!

Tactile play is such a great way to build motor skill. Plus it is cheap and fun! Angry birds and food are what my kids made too!
