Discover Nottawasaga Inn and Resort

We had just gotten back from cottaging in Haliburton upon settling in for a couple of nights at Nottawasaga Inn and Resort, nestled in beautiful Simcoe County along the Nottawasaga River.  It’s about a 45 min drive North of Toronto and if you aren’t into the lake or cottage, this resort is for you!  As I am writing this, I think this is the only resort/hotel style we’ve ever been too that has camps with the option to include their meals.  One of the things that first drew me to Nottawasaga was their Eco Plan.
@NottawasagaInn goes #green! With a 4 Green Key rating through the Green Key Eco-Rating Program this is a great family resort for the eco-conscious family #Resort #SimcoeCounty Click To Tweet

Aside from their commitment to protecting the environment, Nottawasaga is located on a beautiful golf course and it’s one of the many things you can do while staying at the resort.  Dinner can be picked from a set menu depending on which vacation package you choose.  We loved the buffet option.  On our first night though we picked from their choices and I had salmon.

At @NottawasagaInn, enjoy endless food options while sampling the culinary talents of their chefs within one or all of their dining rooms and restaurants! #Vacation #DiscoverON #SimcoeCounty Click To Tweet

It was excellent.   After a drive and settling into our joint rooms we explored a little around the resort and relaxed in our rooms as the beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean.  Here is the front lobby followed by our deluxe resort room.

So the pics you see here are the exact same on the other side of the wall of our adjoining room.  You might have seen my instastory where I joked with one of the twins that she stays on that side of the door, lol. Out those balcony doors is the outdoor pool!

So the next day was perfect! I finally had a break.  As a stay at home mom and on VACATION with my family that I love very much is there ever a break for mom or dad? Well, at Nottawasaga Resort they offer a half day or full day of camp ! YES! I dropped the kids off at 9 am and you can pick them up at 12 for lunch.
The husband and I lounged poolside and enjoyed the poolside service.
Here’s a look at camp!  From arts and crafts to pool and the playing my kids loved it.

We were there for Zero to Hero. It was all about Super Heroes and the kids made crafts related to that.  This was the JR program and below with my son was the SR program.

At @NottawasagaInn, for their small guests, they offer a spectacular line-up of kid-approved programs on holidays and long weekends throughout the year! #DiscoverON #DayCamp #FamilyTrip #DiscoverON Click To Tweet

Bye, kids!
So what did we do as a family? When we met up for dinner….oh man it was good as it was a buffet.  There was meatballs, green beans, roasted potatoes, seafood pasta, salmon and the dessert buffet was top notch!
We went for a nature walk, played mini golf, ping pong, checked out the games room.  Hello, old-school arcades!

Please visit my slideshow here of the Jungle Quest mini golf course at Nottawasaga.  I can’t believe we didn’t get around to the indoor pool.  There is so much to do, I wish we had an extra day there to discover.  They have a 3 storey 100 ft waterslide within our indoor Tropical Rainforest themed 25 m swimming pool

Doesn’t it all look spectacular?  Well, I really want you to go too and enjoy the same package we got.  Here’s what I have for you!
