Well, what can I say other than, I was so impressed with my twin girls and their ear piercing experience at Caryl Baker Visage. The newly renovated spa at the Eaton Centre is lovely and the technicians were so nice and treated my twins with care, patience and professionalism. If you caught my Instastories(check out my Highlights on the experience here) last week you’d have seen all the excitement as they had no idea what their birthday surprise was going to be. My twins have been asking for their ears to get pierced off and on for about a year. I was waiting for them to really want it and the only place that I was interested in going to Caryl Baker Visage, after all, it was where I went to get my ears pierced when I was around their age.
First things first, we sign a waiver, learn about proper ear care and safety(again, head to my Highlights on Instagram) and the twins got to pick out their earrings. Caryl Baker Visage has pierced millions of ears as their motto is “peace of mind piercing“. The salon was nice and clean and their hygienic practices surpass industry standards. Because Caryl Baker Visage specializes in ear piercing for all ages, starting at 3 months they have an excellent selection of 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, 24k yellow plated gold and surgical steel. The twins picked their April birthstone in a 14K gold setting and there are over 50 kinds of styles to choose from, plus the ear piercing is complimentary when you purchase a pair. Ours was $69 and prices of the earrings start around the $59 range.
I was really pleased with the earring positioning as they take time to make it perfect. They make sure it aligns perfectly across (again, you can see it explained in my Highlights on Instagram). Every aspect of the ear piercing was at the highest levels of quality. The patented Inverness system used at Caryl Baker Visage is the only system that holds earrings in a pre-sterilized, disposable capsule which prevents the earrings from ever being touched. It’s all part of the spa’s commitment to providing their guests with the safest and most technologically advanced ear piercing system available.
You may be thinking “Oh, they use guns. Needles are better”. The Inverness System is not a gun. Piercing guns are spring loaded and “shoot” the piercing into the ear lobe. The Inverness is a hand pressured and human powered. It pierces the ear in a quick, smooth and accurate motion that provides no damage piercing. And to be honest, if you want to take your child tattoo parlour instead, by all means. As I said in my stories, you do you. There has been a lot of back and forth between parents from what I’ve read on the internet and I don’t get the attitude and arguments of it. You do you. I’ll do me.
Well, my twins were superstars. There were tears after the initial shock but within minutes they were admiring their new pierced ears and they loved it. It’s been 5 days and their ears have had no redness or irritation. In the end, they got an adorable certificate and a ring candy. They were over the moon! I was so pleased with how well it went.
So, if you’re little one is thinking about ear piercing, I hope you’ll show them this post. My girls turned 6 last week and it was a birthday they’ll never forget. They’ve even said so themselves. Please visit Caryl Baker Visage to find a salon near you, here & check out their Instagram for Spring makeup inspiration.

they were so brave! and yes you are 100% right when it comes to piercing it’s up to the parent where you want to get your child’s ears done!
Mama Ash | 23rd Apr 19
Exactly. It’s an ear. Not the nose, not the belly button….not a nipple, lol. Plus, a tattoo parlour would intimidate my kids, lol. This was more of a relaxed & fancy atmosphere.

Oh no, that’s too bad! They were patient with me too, the staff. I wanted to make sure they were perfect and even, they asked me what I thought so I was very happy with that. I highly recommend Caryl Baker Visage.
