When it comes to simple, effective and organic skin care Helena Lane Skincare is a beautiful line you have to discover for yourself. Here creams are like butter. It’s magic. I apply the Chamomile & Calendula hand and body cream($14) to my elbows and wherever I need some TLC. It melts into your skin like butta and it’s a excellent baby cream! It’s affordable and it will last a long time. A little goes a long way. Helena Lane Skincare has minimal ingredient that are easy to read and understand. You won’t find any junk in her products.
I love misting my face after a cleanse with Helena Lane Rose Water and Frankincense ($24)so my skin is prepped and ready for to me apply her Argan & Frakincense Facial Serum. For better absorption let your face be a little wet when you apply oil into. I prefer oils over face creams personally in the Spring and Summer and I’ll layer up with creams in the Fall & Winter. I get super dry! Do you? Her waters are soothing and hydrating and great way to refresh. I keep mine in my diaper bag on humid days when I need to cool down and freshen up.
Serums give your skin an extra boost. For better absorption give your beautiful face a nice scrub once a week with any Helena Lane scrubs that suit your skin type. The Argan & Frakincense Serum ($30)reduces inflammation, Frankincense and Neroli encourage cell regeneration and hydrates without a greasy feel. You can use this for your hair and to treat stretch marks.
If you are curious about trying Helena Lane products I recommend you pick a kit. I reviewed the Nourishing Sample Set($34). Affordable and great to try you’ll see how your skin will react to the natural goodness without having to buy full size products. The only thing I didn’t like about this sample set were the metal tins. I found them tricky to open but nonetheless it’s great product inside those tricky tins. With products like Rose and Ginger Exfoliaant and Mask, Lavender and White Willow I just love the way they are made and are truly natural and effective.
My Skin:
As an esthetician I get to try many great green brands and I am very selective on the brands I write about. After using this consistently for 3 months(a little goes a long way!) I have seen an improvement in my skins tone, texture and appearance. It’s healthy and glows and feels nourished. My skin didn’t react in any way negatively with that said everyone’s skin in unique so what worked for me may feel different for you. It’s a gentle line that digs deep into cleaning and treating. I love oils for the skin. They are so nutritious.
If you love natural skincare I highly recommend Helena Lane Skincare. Affordable, Canadian, Organic and effective. I think your skin will thank you.
