No, not that Trudeau but Trudeau Bakeware! Trudeau has introduced new baking tools to recreate classic Parisian favourites at home and right away when I saw my Madelaine pan I knew what I had to bake. I also plan on trying my hand at macarons! Stay tuned. I will try this next week.
Can I master the macaron?
To make them takes precision and patience, but the result is worth it. The Macaron Sheet has raised rounded edges for perfectly shaped macarons. Made of easy-to-clean European-grade silicone, its 11 ¼ x 15-inch size fits standard cookie sheets. Also great for whoopie pies.
Cake Pop Set
This kid-friendly party treats are a fun and creative way to re-invent cake, frosting, melted chocolate and sprinkles – and best of all they come on a stick! The Trudeau Cake Pop Set includes a European-grade silicone mold with four different shapes (round/heart/flower/star) and a clear cover top to see when they are ready; as well as 20 sticks and a stand to display.
Madeleine mold makes nine mini cakes. These petite treats are the quintessential French accompaniment to morning coffee or afternoon tea, distinguished by its shell-like shape, crispy edges and lightly flavoured sponge cake. The pan offers the same qualities as the rest of the bakeware collection, providing even cooking, better browning and easy release. The steel reinforcement makes it sturdy to handle while offering all the benefits of European-grade silicone.
Wait? I can use this for pizza?! This would be the perfect size for my pizza stone!
To facilitate layering or moving an entire cake from one surface to another, the Cake Lifter has an anti-slip grip and a fine, specialized stainless steel edge that easily slides and can effortlessly transfer up to 12-inch cakes. Also great for moving cookies and small pizzas from cooking sheet to the platter.
Preparation of ingredients is essential when baking. These four stackable non-stick silicone Pinch Bowls are flexible for pouring and come in fuchsia, grey, mint and coral. Adorable for kid snacks too!
Used to decorate cakes or finish dessert plates with flair, the Decorating Pen can make fine or thick lines. It’s also microwave safe for bringing chocolate or icing to the desired temperature. The pen is easy to use with one hand, comes apart for easy cleaning. The four piece set also includes two tips and a resting stand.
When I got this amazing set I was so delighted. Now below I am going to share with you, Madeleines. These were the best ones I have ever baked. They are elegant, they are between cake and cookie and make the perfect baking treat to give due to the elegance of the shells.
Blueberry Honey Madeleines
7 1/2 tbsp of unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
3/4 cup of flour
1/2 tsp of salt
3 medium eggs
1/4 granulated sugar
3 tbsp of Blueberry Honey (or lavender honey)
grated zest of 1 lemon
sifted powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat the oven to 375F, generously grease the madeleine tins with soft butter.
Sift the flour and salt together. Melt the stick of butter and set aside to cool slightly.
Break the eggs into the bowl. Add the granulated sugar and honey. Whisk with an electric beater for at least 5 minutes until pale and creamy.
Gently fold the flour and lemon zest followed by the melted buttered, taking care not to deflate the mixture.
Spoon a scant tablespoon of the mixture into each buttered madeleine tin, bake for 7-10 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
Remove from oven and immediately unmold onto a wire rack to cool. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
