#VivoCultures makes yogurt at home a breeze! Billions of bacteria turn milk into healthy yogurt. Viva la #yogurt! Click To Tweet

Imagine waking up to real yogurt.  My one twin recently did that and ate about 2 cups worth of fresh yogurt.  She knew where to find it, she knew where the honey and cinnamon was and I woke up to a sweet and tangy kiss from my daughter saying “that was delicious mom!”  The blogger in me was like, no!  Not yet, I need pictures, lol but this girl loves her fermented dairy.

Is it easy to make yogurt at home?
YES!  If you have an Instant Pot with the yogurt setting or a yogurt maker, this is like healthy magic food for you and your family, watch the video {here}  You can even make it in the pot like I did on the stove.  Just warm the milk to 40Celsius, stir in the starters and then remove and cover with a towel for 12 -20 hours. At 12 hours give it a stir and cover again for about 5-6 hours, you can check the consistency.  Check out the video above.

What kind of starters are there?
There are 5 to choose from. You can make, yogurt, kefir, probiotic yogurt, bifikid and slim girl each starter has their own unique benefit.   It’s also extremely affordable as it’s on sale for $3.99 from $5.  You can make 1-3 litres worth of yogurt at home and use any milk you’d like. Even non-dairy.  I made mine with lactose-free milk as the higher the protein the better.   You can also referment with VIVO!
What I also LOVE that VIVO uses a human strain.  This to me is big!  Because this is the kind our body can actually absorb.
VIVO Probiotic Yogurt is a starter culture for the fermented milk product. It is an advanced probiotic that contains the highest concentrations of human-friendly beneficial bacteria. This allows using Probiotic Yogurt not only as a fermented milk product but also in its pure form without a fermentation process. Probiotic Yogurt is the best starter culture to restore healthy microflora or to displace unwanted microbes. Its effect is equally strong when used in its pure form and as the fermented milk product prepared with the starter culture.

Probiotic Yogurt useful properties are:
* It restores and maintains healthy intestinal microflora
* It stimulates growth and vital activity of its own microflora (bifido- and lactobacilli)
* It promotes a strengthening of immunity and development of its own interferon.
* It fights intestinal infections and putrefactive bacteria. It normalizes digestion, improves peristalsis, and prevents constipation.

VIVO Quality

As you may know by reading my blog, you’ll know I only promote quality products.   What I love about VIVO is they are European(actually from my parents country, Ukraine). The bacterial cultures are produced by the world leading companies from France, Germany, Italy and Denmark using raw materials.  The composition of the starter is a complex of living bacteria. Their bacterial composition varies depending on the starter culture.  It truly is a unique product and I love making yogurt at home without carrageenan and knowing exactly what is in my product.  I also like the European way. The VIVO starter cultures are living beneficial bacteria dried in a special way for safe storage and pre-packaged for convenient use. Being put into the warm milk, the bacteria live and breed, repeatedly increasing in numbers. Living healthy bacteria do not just turn milk into yogurt or kefir, they also provide these products with a lot of useful properties. Imagine strengthened immunity, good digestion and a yogurt with live cultures to nurture the gut.  It’s also fantastic for our children.

I want you to visit Vivo Starter Cultures and tell me what do you like about VIVO? Would you be keen to make your own yogurt at home? Tell us and you’ll be entered to win your very own Starter Culture set!

Disclosure: This post was in collaboration with Vivo Canada.  In exchange for this post, I have received perks in the form of products and/or compensation. All opinions on this blog are always my own.
