Plans for summer? Head to the Y for camp!

What are your plans for the kids this summer? Do you stay home and head to the park? Send them off to their grandparents? Go camping, vacationing or do you take it day by day?  I’m a take it day by day kind of gal but we do have some trips this summer and some days for the kids to head to day camp.  Day camp? YES!  The YMCA has some great things planned for families across the GTA.  The best part? It’s pretty affordable too!  I’ll also be honest- I don’t want my kids to be home all day.  If I can avoid tantrums and fighting amongst each other and offer my kids low to no screen time summer, off to the Y they go!  You won’t be hearing “I’m bored.”  Which always reminds me of Mad Men and Billy complaining to Betty(his mom) during that summer episode and her response.

Whether you want indoor or outdoor, cooking or crafts, sports or learning to garden there is something for every child.  The Y offers a variety of programs at 45 locations to ensure they meet the needs and interests of your child, aka the camper. Programs range from creative arts and cooking, filmmaking to science programs, swimming lessons, outdoor adventure and more! Summer Day Camp offers new experiences, skill building, a sense of community and creating new friendships.
