I recently had the pleasure to partner up with Safety 1st and try out their car seats. Now that my dad and my stepmom have moved to Ontario we needed to find the right car seat for our trips up North. I wanted a car seat that would grow with my girls, that was affordable and not too heavy to lift in and out of the car for my parents and of course protection.
The @Safety1st #GrowandGo has improved Rear facing installation - up to 7 more inches for the front seat! Click To TweetSome of the features we love:
~ Side Impact Protection, I like the cushion and I can move it up higher as the twins grow.
~ Adjustable
~ Harness Holders , my girls kept there’s in place. These stay put
~ Takes up less space, with twins I like that! It gives 7 inches of extra room in the front.
~ The car seat is built to GROW for extended use through 3 stages: Rear-facing 5-40 pounds, Forward-facing 22-65 pounds, and Belt-positioning booster 40-100 pounds. Just what I wanted/needed.
~ Easy to install
~ Cup holders. My other car seats for our car doesn’t have cup holders and it’s really a must have in my books.
Installation was a breeze! Snap in and off you go!
We removed the newborn padding and “toodlerized” it. The materials are very easy to clean.
I asked my twins if they were comfy and they said “yes”. So that’s great! Nothing worse than an angry, uncomfy child in a car seat. I found that even though in my opinion that the car seats are lighter compared to other ones, the Grow and Go stayed in place and once we drove home, I felt confident that they were safe.
The positioning is another feature I like. You can adjust the recline based on the age of the infant, where for toddlers they’d be sitting up in the recline 1 position for forward facing. The booster is something I look forward to exploring more as the seat belt fit in the high back booster looks great. The adjustable crotch buckle and protector is great as well, as mentioned above, the twins were comfy. It’s easy to adjust as well from smaller to bigger children as there are two options.
Here are some additional features you might want to know from Safety 1st:
I find Safety 1st Grow and Go to be an excellent car seat that will grow with your children from newborn well to 7+ yrs old. It’s affordable and a brilliant car seat. Do I recommend it? You bet.
