Smart Mom’s Guide to Essential Oils {Review}

You probably know someone or you may be even that someone who is into essentials oils.  I have something for you!  I came across a great book to review from Ulysses Press called Smart Mom’s Guide to Essential oils.   Who is Dr.Mariza Snyder? Dr. Mariza Snyder is a passionate functional wellness practitioner and public speaker, committed to inspiring people to live a healthy and abundant life. She graduated Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West in 2008. She has a background in biochemistry and certifications in nutrition and aromatherapy.   For the past eight years, Dr. Mariza has educated women across the nation with her expertise in holistic medicine and nutrition.  It is a fantastic guide and a must have book in my aromatherapist opinion.  I studied and practised aromatherapy back in early 2000 and I love my oils.  I loved how this book spoke about the history of aromatherapy, the recipes are excellent/effective and provides a common sense approach.

I personally use homeopathy, natural remedies and essential oils for my family.  It’s cost effective and it works for us.  Whether I am using Lavender on the diffuser for the kids room for bed time, to making a calendula blend to soothe their skin from boo boo’s.  Whether you use Young Living, DoTERRA, Saje, your health store brand,  Smart Mom’s Guide to Aromatherapy is a great guide to have.  Even if you are starting out or are a seasoned essential oil enthusiast or aromatherapist.  Did you know that peppermint and grapefruit are fantastic at reducing food cravings.  I usually reach for Lemon when craving but grapefruit sounds lovely.  I put a drop on a tissue and inhale.  It works!

#SmartMomsGuidetoEssentialOils is a complete guide to essential oils! It covers fundamental applications, from creating non-toxic homemade cleaners to relieving common aches & pains. Click To Tweet

I love that her book is full of great recipes and she even goes a step further when it comes to using essential oils with kids.  Unlike other books, she mentions different dilution amounts based on the kid’s age.  It’s written in a easy to follow format, and great info on how to choose the right oils.  Oh!  I love her self care rituals from morning to start the day off right to the evening, to bring calm and balance.  As a parent, don’t you think that would a lovely way to take care of YOU!?!  YES!  Everything you need to know is in this book and I truly hope you get a copy and/or gift a copy(Mothers Day!) This will be your go to book.

Here’s a peak inside, there’s lots more too!  My favourite section is home cleaning, beauty, woman’s hormone health and self care.
I hope you’ll like this practical guide, I hope I’ve introduced you to something you’ll get and I hope you’ll venture into the beautiful world of aromatherapy and enjoy the benefits of nature and it’s beautiful healing properties.  Enhance your families well being.  The Smart Mom’s Guide to Essential oils is packed with hundreds of practical, holistic solutions. This complete guide to essential oils covers the most fundamental applications, from creating non-toxic homemade cleaners to relieving common aches and pains.    Enjoy!
