Happy December.1st!!!!   The countdown is on and I am now in Christmas mode and this is the time to share with you all my media visit to the legendary, annual Toronto Christmas Market.  Why should you go? There’s many and I’ll break it down for you.

Amazing food.  From dining in the trendy restaurants to European & Canadian street food.  Shopping.  So many beautiful boutiques and market vendors.  Santa.  Yes there’s Santa so bring the kids and your camera for photo’s!  Kid friendly. Lots of fun for the kids.  Christmas Tree. Amazing oppurtunities for great family pics. Art & Culture, the main stage has great shows and singing. 

Before hitting the traditional German vendors why not start lunch and drinks at Cluny Bistro, wonder over to the amazing shops like Bergo Designs and SOMA chocolatiers before you make your way down to the big 54 foot Christmas tree and Santa.
 I love the little wooden shops that line the walkway.  I have stocked up on many German and Scandanvian ornaments that were actually reasonably priced.  Also by the main entrance next to Cop Copine you have to pick up the most adorable ear muffs that are hand made in Germany.  

We love our Christmas gnomes, called Nisse in Norwegian and being a household of German and Scandanvian heritage I had to get these for the kids.  Plus wooded and felt ornaments are the best when you have little ones around.  I learend the hard way last year.

There is also a ferris wheel and carasoul!  The kids had the most fun.  It is free to visit during the week but on Saturday and Sunday there is admission for $5 per person.
An amazing beer garden, great light fixtures along the way and warmed up patios for mulled wine, hot toddy’s, enjoy some oysters and really- just have fun.  I’d love to go again and we just might do that!
